  • Entry Refused* As of September 2017, due to safety concerns, the Malaysian government has banned its citizens from visiting North Korea.
    Prior to the ban, Malaysian citizens are allowed to visit North Korea without a visa. However, independent travel without a tour guide is strictly prohibited.
    Malaysia announced a ban on all Malaysian citizens from travelling to North Korea, in the wake of strained Malaysia–North Korea relations following the assassination of Kim Jong-nam at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
